Cockwells launches Duchy 25 ahead of global debut at SIBS25

Cockwells Duchy 25

Taking her place as the dynamic little sister of the company’s acclaimed range of Duchy Motor Launches, the new Duchy 25 fuses style, sophistication and versatility. She may be smaller and lighter than other Duchys, with a slightly shorter and shallower hull, but she features a spacious open-air cockpit with plenty of room for up to six guests to experience dreamy days afloat on rivers, estuaries or coastal seas.

Weighing in at just 2.5 tonnes, the Duchy 25 can be easily towed by road trailer to a variety of cruising destinations, whether to meander along the River Thames, cruise across the French Riviera or traverse the Italian lakes.

Duchy Motor Launches are sought-after, semi-production vessels that combine polished styling, traditional craftsmanship and relaxed handling with up-to-date build techniques and innovative technology.

All Duchy models can be customised to create a cruising environment that is unique to each owner in the knowledge that all optional extras have been carefully considered to meet every individual taste.

An outboard engine also provides even more space in the ample cockpit for guests to relax and take in 360-degree views, whether dining together, comfortably seated on waterproof upholstery around a removable varnished table, or socialising, while reclining on a luxurious day bed.

The fully-adjustable helm and companion seats with convenient footrests are perfectly situated for maximum visibility, whilst a front windscreen shields them from direct spray. An additional spray hood and full cover may also be attached to provide extra protection from the elements.

A cushion infill effortlessly transforms the cockpit into an additional berth to complement the elegant seating that converts into a double V berth for two in the cabin below – just perfect for extended weekend trips. The cabin also includes a well-equipped galley, complete with induction hob, sink and plenty of cupboard space so that tasty meals can be prepared on board using bespoke Duchy crockery and glassware, as your aperitif cools in the on-board refrigerator. A tailored toolbox drawer fitted with essential equipment provides all you might need for nautical living. The enclosed heads compartment features an electric toilet, handheld hot shower, sink and storage.

The decks are laid with durable and easily-maintained synthetic teak. The outboard is flanked by two bathing platforms, with the back seat folding forwards to allow easy egress for all. Low side decks and stainless steel grab handles and railings enhance safety during manoeuvres. The helm console features a 9” touchscreen Raymarine display, which enables all internal systems to be controlled using a digital switching system that is coded in-house.
